Cairngorm Ski Area
Carrbridge - Scotland's first ski village
Yes it's a fact and the history
goes back to the 1960's and can be found in many books and I am
sure on websites also. The development at Cairngorm is Scotland's
oldest and a recent £20M upgrade featuring
a funicular rail uplift is now fully operational
It is probably no surprise that
Aviemore being 5 miles closer to the slopes developed into the
small town that it now is but the peripheral villages such as
Carrbridge also have a lot to offer.
All arrangements for Instruction, equipment hire and lift-passes can be made by "The Ski School" Tel: 01479 861319 or go to www.theskischool.co.uk
“The
Down-Hill, Cross-Country and of
course Snowboarding will be found at Cairngorm but don't forget
the Lecht which can be reached from here in just over 30 minutes.
It is a lot smaller but also features a dry slope in addition.
The ski area is at the bottom
right of the map below and although Aviemore offers a variety of
accommodation many discerning guests prefer to stay here at
Dalrachney Lodge only a 15 minute drive North of Aviemore.
Accommodation costs are on the SPECIALS link below for the Lodge Hotel or The Coach House. We can arrange local mini-bus hire for you if required and your group is large enough, say 6 or over. For training and Group activity email info@theskischool.co.uk
