Outline of accommodation...

This 4-bedroomed house (220m2) is spacious and on two levels. Typically will sleep eight adults plus two children and baby, two dogs permitted. (We would request that indoors you keep your dogs on the ground floor only and not in upper level bedrooms. Some guests have allergies). Own garden, detached garage and additional 3-car parking with direct access to Dalrachney Lodge Hotel grounds and facilities, directly opposite golf course with footpath to village.

Suitable for mobility impaired guests. Wheel chair ramp (concrete 15deg) to double door side entrance and one ground floor bedroom, large en-suite shower.

A roll-away bed and hi-chair may be located as you require. Travel cot provided on request.

Fitted Kitchen - Dishwasher, electric hob/double oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, food-processor and toaster, Fitted cupboards throughout. Dinner service for 12 as well as adequate glass and cookware.

Utility room - Dryer, washing machine (LG direct drive) and storage / airing space, rear door to detached garage. Central heating controls.

Linen Store - Off utility room

Lounge with wide 42" screen flat panel Plasma TV + DVD-R, two leather settee suites (2x3 + 2x2) seating 10. There is a fireplace but actual fires may not be lit.

Sky TV with full movie, all sports, kids and the rest package which will work only on the 42" Plasma TV.

Main entrance and porch with mains switch gear and fire alarm controls.

Garage - Single enclosed garage up/over locking door. Power sockets and lighting. Side door facing house and rear window. Adequate for standard sized vehicle together with storage as required.

 

All usual fittings, quality pine furniture and storage will be found. Central heating is by oil-fired hi-pressure boiler. All power (electricity and oil) is included in price.

Consumables - We shall provide a toilet roll in each bathroom at entry. A pack of heavy duty dustbin liners will also be supplied. You will be responsible for providing dishwasher rinse-aid and wash powders etc but there will usually be stuff left over from previous guests. Tinned food and coffee and any other similar things will be left for your use, but we always bin fresh foods, milk etc to be on the safe side. The village Spar shop can provide most things you will need. There is a Tesco, pharmacy etc in Aviemore. There is a large 24 hour Tesco in Inverness on the Airport road just off the A9. A 24 hour filling station (with snacks) is in Aviemore.

Features state-of-the-art central fire alarm system. Smoke detectors in all rooms, call points, emergency lighting at all exits, internal and external, and fire extinguishers.

WiFi - Bring your wireless enabled PDA or Laptop. It will not function in the house but will link to the Hotel 8.0Mb hi-speed broadband system in the Hotel Lounge or even car park area, at no cost.

History - This is a new high-specification house built to Norwegian standards

Lunches, Suppers and Dinners are served in the Lodge Restaurant or in the Stalker's Bar. Breakfasts can also be served where space permits. All meals should be reserved, where possible, to ensure service

Dalrachney is the place for self-catering, also peace and quiet. Try it! Four village bars provide late service and entertainment. We are 23 miles south of Inverness, 1 mile off the A9 trunk route

Dalmore House does not have the same classifications as the Lodge Hotel. It would certainly achieve the highest rating but at this time we are not proposing to have it graded by VisitScotland. Reservations should be made directly with us or via Mackay's Agency in Edinburgh who have rated the property as 4 star as at December 2005.
